Forrest Run, founded in 1984 in Sherwood, Wisconsin, has long been a family-run business devoted to supporting pet owners during times of loss. Since 2004, it has been owned by Pat Fahrenkrug, a licensed Funeral Director with decades of experience in both human and pet funeral services. Committed to compassion and dignity, Forrest Run offers a wide range of services—including cremation, burial, funerals, and private viewings—to help families honor their beloved pets. Please note:
BluePearl Veterinary Hospital (formerly Fox Valley Animal Referral Center) no longer utilizes Forrest Run Pet Cremation Services, opting instead to use a national pet cremation service based out of Canada.
If you would like to have your pet’s cremation take place locally at Forrest Run you must make that request known to the staff of BluePearl Veterinary Hospital.
Please call us to let us know and we will make arrangements to transport your pet that day or if after hours immediately the next day. You may also make arrangements with our office to bring your pet directly to us.
We work with all Veterinary Clinics. If you don’t see your veterinarian listed, you still can request our services. Just let them know you would like to use Forrest Run to handle the cremation or burial of your pet. We can either transport your pet from your veterinarian or you can bring them directly to us.

How it works?
Veterinary Clinic or Home Transfer
Cremated remains will be returned to requesting veterinary clinic or be picked up at Forrest Run.
Private Cremation
Private Cremation is when your pet is cremated individually and the cremated remains are returned to you.
Group Cremation
Group cremation is when your pet is cremated with other pets whose family has also chosen group cremation. No cremated remains are returned. All group cremains are buried in the Memorial Garden at Forrest Run Pet Cemetery.
Returned Package
We will return the cremains of your pet in a memory urn. The package will also include a cremation certificate, the QR Code assigned and any additional memory options selected.
Country Woods Photo Urns
These beautiful photo urns are a customer favorite.
Available in cherry, walnut, maple or oak in three sizes. Engraving is also available. A fitting tribute to your beloved pet companion.
